A hands-on team that treats security as the job
SEQ IT Services is a managed IT service provider (MSP) with cyber security built in. We look after the computers, networks, cloud platforms and security of businesses with 5 to 100 staff that don’t have in-house IT, or need backup for the person they have.
The business was founded by Michael Gibby, who leads it with co-director Jason. Michael still does technical work alongside running the company, and his focus on security is why we went through SMB1001 certification ourselves and achieved Gold.
Our owners, Michael and Jason, have each worked in IT for more than 20 years, as have several of our senior engineers. Between them, they cover IT support, networking, security, cloud platforms and business operations. Every one of us is based in Australia.
No lock-in contracts
Month-to-month terms mean we earn your business every month. Projects are quoted up front, so there are no surprise project invoices.
Our own team, based in Australia
When you call or log a request, our own team in Australia picks it up. We don’t send your calls offshore. 24/7 threat monitoring is run by our security partner’s operations centre, and onsite visits outside South East Queensland are arranged through vetted local partners.

Why some details stay off our website
We limit the personal information we publish about our staff, not everyone on the team is listed, and we don’t publish client names or logos. It’s the advice we give clients: the less an attacker knows about who works where, the harder it is to write a convincing phishing email or impersonate someone.

Where is SEQ IT Services based?
We’re based in South East Queensland. Our team provides onsite support across Brisbane, Ipswich, the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast, with visits typically the same day for critical issues. Businesses elsewhere in Australia, including Sydney, get remote IT support, with onsite visits arranged when a job needs them.
Who runs SEQ IT Services?
SEQ IT Services was founded by Michael Gibby, who leads the business with co-director Jason. Both work directly with clients on support and projects.
Does SEQ IT outsource or offshore its support?
Our helpdesk doesn’t. Every member of our team is based in Australia, and we don’t send your calls offshore.
