What it's like working at SEQ IT

SEQ IT is a security-first managed service provider supporting small and medium businesses across the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Ipswich and the rest of South East Queensland.

We’re not a big corporate MSP with layers of management. We’re a tight team of people who are good at what they do, take ownership of their work and care about the clients they support. Everyone here is hands-on, and everyone makes a difference.

Who we look for

The kind of people who do well here

01

Ownership

You see a problem through until it’s resolved. You don’t pass the buck, close tickets early or hope someone else picks it up.

02

Communication

You explain technical issues in plain language, keep clients informed, ask when unsure and document your work so the team can follow it.

03

Curiosity

IT and security change fast. You read, experiment, study for certifications and bring ideas to the team without waiting to be told.

04

Reliability

You show up and do what you said you would. Clients trust us with their whole IT environment, and that trust is built on consistency.

05

Attention to detail

Documentation, naming conventions, security settings, follow-up notes. In IT and security, the small things prevent the big problems.

06

Problem solving

You troubleshoot logically, not by guessing and restarting. You find the root cause and fix it properly, so it stays fixed.

What you need

What we look for in an application

  • A technical grounding in desktops, networks or cloud platforms
  • Clear, plain-English communication with non-technical people
  • A genuine interest in cyber security
  • Willingness to keep learning and working towards certifications
