When the registers stop, so does trade
In an office, an outage means a slow morning. In a store, it means a queue, walkouts and staff who can’t serve anyone.
Retail IT failures are small, repetitive and badly timed: Wi-Fi that gives out when the store fills with customers’ phones, an EFTPOS terminal that drops off the network, a POS tablet that restarts for an update just before open.
- Cards stop working when the internet drops
- Customer Wi-Fi shares a network with the POS
- Every casual uses the same POS login
- A new franchisee inherits the last owner’s passwords
- Each store was set up differently
IT support built for the shop floor
POS and payments
The devices, networks and logins behind Lightspeed, Square, Shopify POS, Zeller and franchise-specific systems.
Store networks and Wi-Fi
Separate networks for POS, staff, customer Wi-Fi and signage: safer, faster and easier to fault-find.
A way to keep trading
A one-page fallback for staff when POS or EFTPOS goes down, and a critical response within 1 business hour.
Problems spotted early
Store computers, and network gear that supports it, monitored so we often spot failures first.
Email and accounts
Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace for managers, with multi-factor authentication and sign-in monitoring.
Fit-outs ready to trade
Network, Wi-Fi, POS hardware and accounts planned around the shopfitter and tested before opening.
How exposed is your store network?
We’ll map how your POS, Wi-Fi and back office connect and show you the weak points before they cost you trade.
One standard for every store
Build every site the same way: faults are quicker to find and no store is the weak link.
Same equipment and layout, with POS, staff and guests kept apart
Computers and tablets built from one template, patched and running EDR
One account per person, casuals included, removed when they leave
Internet details, equipment and admin passwords in a business password manager
Stores outside South East Queensland get the same standard, supported remotely, with onsite visits arranged when needed.
Card security standards, in plain English
If you take card payments, the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) applies to you. It’s the card industry’s rulebook for card data. Your bank or payment provider tells you how to show you comply, often with a yearly self-assessment questionnaire.
Modern terminals and cloud POS carry much of the load, because card numbers go straight to the provider. But your network and staff habits still matter: a card number jotted down for a phone order can undo the lot. We don’t certify PCI compliance; we put in the controls that support it.

- Payment devices kept off the guest Wi-Fi
- Individual staff logins, removed when people leave
- Patching, antivirus and EDR on store computers
- Help with the technical questions in your questionnaire
Franchisees in, franchisees out
Stores change hands and staff turn over. Access has to keep up.
New franchisee
Accounts set up in their name, devices reset, and the previous owner’s access closed.
Casual staff
Their own POS PIN and logins where the system allows, so one leaver doesn’t mean resetting everyone.
Departing franchisee
Access removed on exit day, with data handed over as your franchise agreement requires.
Franchisor standards
Mandated POS, network and security settings in place and on record.
Head office IT
We deal with the franchisor’s IT team and vendors, so you’re not the go-between.
Multi-store owners
One provider, one standard and one monthly price across your stores.
Retail hours, honestly covered
Our helpdesk runs Monday to Friday during business hours. Stores trade nights and weekends, so after-hours and weekend cover is available by arrangement, agreed before you sign.

A store can't take payments?
That’s critical: a response within 1 business hour, and same-day onsite help in South East Queensland if a remote fix won’t do it.
Fewer weekend problems
Monitoring, a backup connection and updates scheduled outside trading hours mean fewer faults reach the weekend.
How we bring your stores on board
Usually 1 to 2 weeks for a single store. Groups come on store by store, riskiest sites first.
Discovery call
Your stores, POS and payment providers, franchisor rules and what keeps breaking.
Site assessment
Each store’s network, devices, logins and internet reviewed, with a fix-first list.
Proposal and onboarding
A fixed monthly price, then stores standardised, logins set up and the handover from your current provider managed.
Ongoing management
Helpdesk, monitoring, patching and security for every site.
We hold ourselves to the standard we apply
We achieved SMB1001 Gold through CyberCert. If your franchisor asks for a recognised standard, we can take you through certification under SMB1001 at Bronze, Silver or Gold.

Retail and franchise IT: common questions
What POS systems do you support?
We support the hardware, networks and logins behind Lightspeed, Square, Shopify POS, Zeller and franchise-specific systems, from setup to connecting terminals and printers. The provider runs the software itself, and we deal with them directly when a fault is theirs.
How fast can you respond when our POS or EFTPOS goes down?
A store that can’t take payments is a critical issue. We respond within 1 hour during business hours, fix most problems remotely and can be onsite the same day across South East Queensland. If you trade weekends or late nights, arrange after-hours cover with us up front.
Do small retailers need to comply with PCI DSS?
Yes, if you accept cards. Your bank or payment provider sets how you show compliance, often a self-assessment questionnaire, and modern terminals reduce what you’re responsible for. We don’t certify compliance, but we set up the network separation, device security and logins that support it.
Should customer Wi-Fi be separate from our POS network?
Yes. Payment devices and store computers should never share a network with guest Wi-Fi. We separate POS, staff, customers and signage, so a customer’s infected phone can’t reach your systems and guest traffic is capped so it can’t slow the registers.
We're opening a new store. When should we call you?
As soon as you have a lease and a fit-out date, because a new internet service can take weeks to connect. We then plan the network and Wi-Fi, set up POS hardware and accounts, and test everything before opening day.
How much does IT support cost for a retail or franchise business?
It depends on your number of stores, devices and staff accounts. After a free consultation you get a fixed monthly price with no lock-in contract and no surprise invoices. Fit-outs and other projects are quoted before work starts.
