Work With Us

We are a growing managed IT and security services provider based in South East Queensland. If you are passionate about IT, security, and helping small businesses, we would like to hear from you.

What It Is Like Working at SEQ IT

SEQ IT is a security-first managed service provider supporting small and medium businesses across the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Ipswich, and the broader South East Queensland region. We are SMB1001 Gold certified, a CyberCert Certification Partner, and both a Microsoft Partner and Google Partner.

We are not a massive corporate MSP with layers of management and bureaucracy. We are a tight team of people who are good at what they do, who take ownership of their work, and who genuinely care about the clients they support. Everyone here is hands-on. Everyone here makes a difference.

We are growing, and we are always interested in hearing from talented IT professionals who want to be part of a team that does things properly.

Types of Positions We Recruit

We do not always have open positions listed, but we are always interested in hearing from good people. If you have experience in any of the following areas, we encourage you to get in touch.

Support

IT Support Engineer

Helpdesk and desktop support for our managed services clients. Troubleshooting hardware, software, networking, and cloud platform issues. Remote and onsite support across South East Queensland.

Field

Field Support Engineer

Onsite IT support, installations, and project work across client sites throughout the Gold Coast, Brisbane, and Ipswich. Network deployments, hardware rollouts, office fit-outs, and hands-on problem solving.

Security

IT Security Engineer

Cyber security implementation and management for our MSSP clients. Endpoint protection, EDR, email security, vulnerability management, compliance frameworks, and incident response.

The Kind of People We Look For

Ownership

You see a problem and you own it until it is resolved. You do not pass the buck, close tickets prematurely, or hope someone else picks it up. Our clients rely on us, and that starts with individual accountability.

Communication

You can explain technical issues in plain language to people who are not technical. You keep clients informed, you ask questions when you are unsure, and you document your work so the rest of the team can follow it.

Curiosity

You want to learn and stay current. IT and security change fast. We want people who read, experiment, pursue certifications, and bring new ideas to the team rather than waiting to be told what to learn next.

Reliability

You show up, you follow through, and you do what you say you are going to do. Our clients trust us with their entire IT environment. That trust is built on consistency, not occasional brilliance.

Attention to Detail

The difference between good IT and great IT is in the details. Documentation, naming conventions, security configurations, follow-up notes. We care about the small things because in IT and security, the small things are what prevent the big problems.

Problem Solving

You troubleshoot logically, not by guessing and restarting. You dig into the root cause, not just the symptom. When something is broken, you work through it methodically until it is properly resolved, not patched over until it breaks again next week.

Why People Work Here

Variety of work. You will not be stuck doing the same thing every day. Our team works across different clients, industries, and technologies.
Hands-on from day one. We are a small team, which means you get real responsibility and real client exposure early. No sitting in a corner watching someone else work.
Security-first environment. We are an MSSP, not just an MSP. If security is your interest, you will work with it every day across every client.
Professional development. We support training and certifications. Microsoft, Google, security certifications, and vendor-specific training. Growing your skills benefits everyone.
Modern tools and platforms. We use current technology and best-practice tooling. You will not be working with outdated systems or fighting with legacy infrastructure.
Local team, local clients. We are based in South East Queensland and our clients are local. You are part of a community, not a number in a national call centre.

What You Will Need

Specific requirements vary by role, but the following apply to most positions at SEQ IT:

Current Australian driver’s licence. Our field and support roles require travel to client sites across South East Queensland.
Industry certifications. Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft certifications (AZ-900, MS-900, SC-900), or equivalent experience.
National Police Check. A clear police check is required for all positions. We work with clients in healthcare, finance, legal, and other regulated industries where background checks are a condition of access.
Right to work in Australia. You must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or hold a valid work visa.

Experience in an MSP or managed services environment is valued but not essential. If you have the right attitude, the technical foundation, and a genuine interest in IT and security, we want to hear from you.
